![]() ![]() We arrived early, about 10 mins before the box office opened, and had no problem getting a good spot. We watched a kids' movie at the Skyview Drive-in for the first time yesterday & it was so much fun! It was much better than I expected. Too bad the help that night didn't agree. I would have thought that taking a $5 "loss" on a family sitting twice as far back as usual, in a weed-infested lot with a terrible view of the screen, would be a prudent business move to retain what may be a dozen or so customers. Lacking an apology for the unpleasant experience and the disprectful way we were treated, we won't be going back to the Skyview, nor will many of our family and friends. The guy balked at my suggestion to cut the price, and in fact, became irate, disrespectful, and threatened to call the police if I didn't pay, or immediately leave. Skyview, you can't afford to hire a couple teenagers to cut the nature preserve?). ![]() I told him I felt he should discount the price by $5, considering we could not hardly see any of the screen at all (Not to mention, the field in which everyone was parked had weeds about a foot high, adding to the mosquito problem. I was shocked that the older man wanted $10 for my wife and myself (our son is seven). Later, when the employees- the first fellow, and an older man with glasses, came around to collect the payments, I explained how unhappy we were, and how we were parked exactly where we were told we'd have a better view, despite this not being true at all. My young son, just wanting to salvage what he could out of the evening, was willing to try and watch the movie with only a partial view of the screen. So, we moved for a third time, exactly to where the attendant told us to, but after unpacking the car, our view was then blocked by the people sitting on top of the SUV. I expressed my frustration at how ridiculous this all was, but figure I'd give it a try. He then told us to move (yet again), back two rows to have a clear view. Once proving correct in being blocked by the top part of the fence, I complained to the previous fellow again. ![]() ![]() Even though this put us closer to the fence than we'd like - since the fence would obscure part of the screen, we tried it. The new arrival would not agree to move, so I complained to the young man (curly hair, on the heavy-set side), and was told by him to move up next to the SUV ( and pack up everything we just set out), whose residents were climbing onto its roof to have an unobstructed view). Upon arriving, we were told we had to park in the overflow lot due to sold-out conditions in the paved area.Īfter parking our car and getting all settled outside the hatch with chairs and provisions, a big SUV parked right in front, blocking our view, since there's no designated parking out in a field.
